The SPLOST II Resident Review Committee in DeKalb County has scheduled a special orientation meeting for Wednesday, February 4, 2026. The session will begin at 6:30 p.m. and take place at 178 Sams Street, Decatur, GA, in Multipurpose Room A1201.

According to the public notice, the agenda includes a review of the committee’s mission, an overview of meeting procedures and attendance requirements, discussion of Robert’s Rules of Order, guidance on minutes and agenda setting, presentation of the 2026 committee calendar, reporting obligations, a summary of the SPLOST program, time for public comment, and adjournment.

“This meeting is open to the public,” states the announcement from DeKalb County officials.

Recent data from the Georgia Department of Education shows that enrollment in DeKalb County schools declined by 2.2% during the 2022-23 school year compared to the previous year. The total student enrollment for that period was reported as 98,287 students. Additionally, white students made up 14% of DeKalb County’s student body during this timeframe.
