Emory University and Georgia Public Broadcasting announced on April 13 that the seventh season of the television series “Your Fantastic Mind” will premiere at 9:30 p.m. Eastern Time. The Emmy Award-winning program will air six weekly episodes on Mondays through May 18, with repeat broadcasts scheduled for Wednesdays at 7 p.m.

The series aims to share advances in neuroscience and clinical care by telling stories about medical research, recovery, and innovation. Each episode offers viewers a look inside research labs, hospitals, schools, and communities to show how medical science is affecting lives.

Season seven covers topics such as ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), Alzheimer’s disease, suicide prevention, and early brain development. The first episode follows researchers in India studying links between diabetes, high blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and the risk of Alzheimer’s disease as part of the CARRS study. Other episodes explore a phone-free policy at a school in Marietta, Georgia; coordinated care for ALS patients; outreach to migrant farmworkers in rural South Georgia; programs promoting early language exposure for infants; structured literacy instruction based on brain science; brain stimulation treatment for PTSD; community suicide prevention efforts; and therapeutic camps for children with anxiety.

Since its debut in 2019, “Your Fantastic Mind” has received fifteen Southeast Emmy Awards from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. The series is nationally syndicated through the National Educational Telecommunications Association and airs on more than two hundred PBS stations across forty-nine states.

Jaye Watson hosts and writes the show. She is an Emmy and Edward R. Murrow Award-winning journalist who co-executive produces alongside Kenny Hamilton from Emory School of Medicine. Hamilton is also an Emmy and Murrow award winner as well as a five-time National Press Photographers Association Photographer of the Year.

Full episodes from season seven will be available online after each Monday broadcast. Past seasons can also be streamed on the show’s website or YouTube channel.
