Efforts to upgrade water infrastructure in DeKalb County are progressing with the start of Phase II of the Peachtree Boulevard Water Transmission Main Replacement Project. The county will host a public meeting about this phase on Thursday, Jan. 29, at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom at https://dekalbcountyga.zoom.us/j/86001516874.

The full project spans 11,000 linear feet and is scheduled for completion by December 2027.
This initiative is part of DeKalb County’s $4.27 billion capital improvement program aimed at increasing capacity and improving service in local watershed systems.
Construction work will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, except major holidays. Residents should expect more noise and traffic during these hours.
