The Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) and the Corporation for Supportive Housing (CSH) have announced the participants for the 2025-2026 Georgia Supportive Housing Institute. The program, now in its second year, brings together five teams and a group of individuals forming a conceptual team to focus on affordable and supportive housing development across Georgia.

The Supportive Housing Institute is a CSH initiative aimed at improving multi-family property development by providing education on design, service delivery, funding strategies, and ongoing operations. This collaboration builds on last year’s efforts that resulted in proposals for 688 new housing units statewide, including 257 supportive housing units.

“DCA is proud to be a part of a program that empowers Georgia’s developers to create safe, affordable, and supportive housing that meet communities’ needs,” said Laura Ann Holland, DCA Director of Strategy and Key Initiatives. “Viewing the results of the inaugural class, we know this new set of developers will also gain knowledge that they will use to help vulnerable populations attain safe, affordable housing.”

Deirdre Bolden, CSH Southeast Director, added: “We are enthusiastic about building upon the success and momentum of last year’s Georgia Supportive Housing Institute. Thanks to our continued partnership with the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, we can support a new cohort of teams committed to increasing supportive housing across the state. Georgia’s housing challenges require solutions that are both strategic and community driven. The Institute brings together teams from across the state to create supportive housing models tailored to the unique needs of their regions. It is an honor to design and learn alongside teams committed to building sustainable, high-quality housing that meets people where they are and helps them thrive.”

After completing the institute’s curriculum, participating teams may apply for CSH’s Community Investment loan products as well as DCA’s Housing Tax Credit Program. They may also be eligible for an upcoming Supportive Housing Notice of Funding Opportunity from DCA.

This year’s participating organizations include:

– Columbus Team: New Horizons Behavioral Health (team lead), Southeast Housing Partners LLC (developer), Greystone Properties (property manager), United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley/Home for Good (community collaborator), Essential Cornerstone.
– Dahlonega and Forsyth County Team: Landbridge Development LLC (team lead), Resource Housing Group Inc., Gateway Management (property manager), Family First Villages.
– Canton Team: TBG Residential serves as team lead, developer, and property manager; MUST Ministries provides services; Canton Housing Authority participates.
– Atlanta Team 1: Led by 3Keys Inc., with Tapestry Development as developer.
– Atlanta Team 2: The Vecino Group leads development; Mercy Care provides services; Saint Vincent DePaul collaborates.

Additionally, representatives from Dominium, Quest CDC, Housing Plus, Wellroot, and Step Up participate as individual entities in a conceptual team.

CSH has operated since 1991 as a national nonprofit focused solely on expanding supportive housing through policy advocacy and investment in communities nationwide. To date it has contributed over $1.5 billion in loans and grants supporting more than 467,600 units nationwide via partnerships rather than direct development or operation.
