Emory University announced on April 8 that its graduate and professional schools have been ranked among the top in the nation by U.S. News & World Report’s “2026 Best Graduate School Rankings,” which were released on April 7.

The rankings place Emory’s Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing Master’s program at number one nationally, while its Doctor of Nursing program is ranked second. The Rollins School of Public Health also received a second-place ranking. Emory School of Medicine was recognized as a Tier 1 institution for research, Goizueta Business School’s full-time MBA program was ranked twenty-third, and its part-time MBA program placed twentieth. Emory School of Law secured the fortieth spot.

These annual rankings are determined through a combination of expert opinions about each program’s excellence and statistical indicators that measure academic productivity and postgraduate outcomes.

The university noted that individual schools may release additional rankings for specialized programs, but not all graduate and professional programs are evaluated every year.

Emory University describes itself as a leading research university with internationally recognized liberal arts colleges, graduate and professional schools, as well as one of the nation’s most comprehensive academic health care systems.
