The DeKalb-Peachtree Airport Advisory Board will hold its next meeting on Monday, February 9, at 6 p.m. The meeting will take place at 2000 Airport Rd., Room 227, Atlanta, Ga. 30341. Members of the public can also attend virtually through a Zoom link or by phone.

The agenda includes approval of the January 2025 minutes and updates on ongoing projects and reports. Hunter Hines will deliver the Director’s Report, which covers topics such as the Runway 3R/21L Keel Replacement Project and FAA lighting repairs. There will also be updates on landing fees, air quality, noise issues, and a noise report presented by Korey Barnes. The board will review January operations and other business matters before moving to new business and public comments.

DeKalb County schools have seen changes in enrollment numbers recently. In the 2022-23 school year, enrollment dropped by 2.2% compared to the previous year according to data from the Georgia Department of Education (https://www.gadoe.org/). During that period, DeKalb County schools enrolled a total of 98,287 students (https://www.gadoe.org/). White students made up 14% of the student body in DeKalb County schools for that same school year (https://www.gadoe.org/).
