The DeKalb County Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs is set to host a Parks Citizen Advisory Board Committee meeting on Monday, September 15. The meeting will take place at 6 p.m. at the Porter Sanford III Performing Arts and Community Center, located at 3181 Rainbow Drive in Decatur, Georgia.

DeKalb County continues to experience changes in its school system. In the 2022-23 school year, enrollment at DeKalb County schools declined by 2.2% compared to the previous year (https://www.gadoe.org/). During that same period, the county’s schools enrolled a total of 98,287 students (https://www.gadoe.org/). White students represented the third largest ethnic group in DeKalb County schools, accounting for 14% of the student body in the 2022-23 school year (https://www.gadoe.org/).
