DeKalb County completes repair on Covington Highway water main break

DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management crews have finished repairing a 12-inch water main break near Covington Highway and Wellborn Road. Water pressure has returned to normal levels, and there are no current reports of outages.

Residents in the affected area may notice brown water. Officials advise running faucets inside and outside homes or businesses to help clear internal plumbing.

Traffic controls and detours remain as restoration work continues. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area and anticipate delays.
