Construction began on October 13 for the Clifton Church Water Main Replacement Project in DeKalb County. The project involves replacing about 10,900 linear feet of ductile iron water pipe along Clifton Church Road, Gresham Road, and Richard Allen Lane. Work is expected to continue for approximately nine months, from October 2025 to July 2026, unless delayed by weather.
The replacement is part of DeKalb County’s $4.27 billion capital improvement program aimed at increasing the capacity and service of local watershed systems. Construction will take place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding major holidays. Residents should expect increased noise and traffic during these hours.
A virtual community meeting about the project is scheduled for Tuesday, October 7 at 6:30 p.m. on Zoom at https://dekalbcountyga.zoom.us/j/85315291066. Additional information can be obtained by calling the DWM Project Information Line at 1-800-986-1108 or emailing projectinfo@dekalbcountyga.gov with questions.
