Amazon has announced a new Employee Relations (ER) investigator role based in Atlanta, Georgia. This position is intended to address sensitive human resources and employee relations investigations within the company’s Worldwide Operations Centralized Investigation team.

According to Amazon Jobs, the company is seeking an HR investigator to join its Worldwide Operations Human Resources team, which supports U.S. locations. The role involves handling sensitive employee and labor relations issues by conducting interviews with complainants, witnesses, and subjects, analyzing internal data, adjudicating cases, proposing remedial actions, and producing comprehensive investigation documentation. The investigator will independently manage cases, analyze trends across casework, provide strategic recommendations, and collaborate with business partners, corporate ER teams, legal teams, and third-party vendors. Additionally, the position requires balancing project work with crisis-response investigations and contributing to the continuous improvement of HR programs and policies.

Candidates for this role should possess a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of HR generalist or investigative experience, particularly in call center, distribution, or manufacturing environments. Experience supporting hourly employee groups is also required. Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree such as a Juris Doctor (JD), specialized training in labor or employee relations, as well as a record of career development or superior performance. Base pay for this position ranges from $57,900 to $123,800 depending on location.
