Amazon has announced the opening of an entry-level workplace health and safety specialist position in Atlanta, Georgia, and other U.S. locations. The company is offering training to develop future safety leaders.
According to Amazon Jobs, the company is hiring these specialists across its U.S. fulfillment network, including Atlanta. These specialists will support efforts to transform workplace safety culture by combining technology with human-centered solutions. Their responsibilities include leading audits, conducting incident investigations, performing risk assessments, and delivering safety programs that protect employees while maintaining operational efficiency.
The role also involves associate advocacy and cultural leadership, fostering strong relationships across all levels to promote safety as a shared priority. Candidates are required to work on-site in fulfillment centers, sort centers, or delivery stations and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 49 pounds and standing or walking for up to 12 hours. Shifts may include days, nights, holidays, and weekends. Positions are set to start between January and September 2026, with relocation benefits available for eligible candidates; however, sponsorship is not offered.
